"Thinking flamenco...from other musics".

Flamenco is a living art, attentive to the avant-garde and at the same time attentive to its own tradition. Its uniqueness, its expressive force, its musical richness, its freedom within ancient codes, even its apparent exoticism have attracted the attention of musicians from all over the world who have approached flamenco from their respective musical genres: jazz, early music, Celtic music..... In different scenic conferences, Enrike Solinís (baroque guitar) and Pablo Martín Caminero (double bass player of jazz flamenco and classical music) will show the keys of their work around flamenco and will illustrate it by performing live examples of the music born from this musical encounter.

MARCH 8 - 7:30 P.M.

ENRIKE SOLINÍS
Flamenco dialogues with early music

Beyond a musical form, jazz is a musical concept that has mimicked many other musical forms. Thus, many cultures have developed their particular way of playing "their own jazz" giving rise to new musical forms such as Latin-jazz, tango-jazz, Brazilian jazz, jazz-rock, jazz-fusion, jazz-manouche... and of course, jazz-flamenco.

In this scenic conference we will make a brief historical tour and we will see how the three pillars of flamenco (singing - the melody, dancing - the rhythm and guitar - the harmony) are translated and generate this form of flamenco jazz that day by day is settling and is gaining the interest of the public and the festivals.

MARCH 15 - 7:30 P.M.
